Latest ripgrep 15.1.0 from ripgrep-15.1.0-aarch64-pc-windows-msvc.zip

I downloaded the zip file in the subject line and using the file command on rg.exe I get a sig of ARM64 This in git bash on windows 11

If I perform a winget in a powershell command and get rg I get the correct version though I am struggling to find it.

Huh? The file in the subject line is aarch64 which is the same as arm64.

Please provide a proper MRE. Including expected output and actual output.

Sorry but I'm don't know how else to help you. If instruction to download the x86-64 artifact and not the aarch64 artifact isn't sufficiently clear for you, then you might need to ask for help elsewhere.

the file command says ARM64 when executed on rg.exe from the zip file listed in the subject line. I sent the ARM64 signature message update because I typoed Tired from installing my development environment on a brand new Win 64 system. Why does the file command give that ARM64 response? Why do I get an exec format error when I execute rg in a git bash 64 executable? Something is wrong with the distribution.
The ripgrep I installed through winget, per your webpage, works within powershell 64 bit and is the latest version 15.1.0.

Now I see that the x86-64 is not even listed at https://github.com/BurntSushi/ripgrep/releases. Leads to my mistake becauses I shrugged and saw aarch64-pc -windows-msvc and went with it.

It's there. Look harder. You might need to click "show all assets."

I can't keep repeating myself. I really do not know how to help you. You are downloading the wrong artifact. That's why it says arm64.

By the way, a couple years ago I came across your utility on a rust forum and had some excitement. Rust yes but also I wrote this type of utility 30+ years ago in perl. Very primitive in comparison. You rock.
