1. Open bw Desktop Version 2026.2.1
2. Open Vault
3. Set Theme to Default, Light or Dark

Expected Result

The folder/collections elements in the sidebar should have more contrast like before (like before in dark theme white text on a dark background).

Actual Result

All elements in the sidebar have the same foreground and background color, which makes it difficult to read.

This happened after updating bw Desktop on Windows from 2026.1.1 to 2026.2.1 via winget.

After looking at the changelog of the bw Desktop, there were UI changes mentioned.
See https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/releases/tag/web-v2026.2.1 and previos releases.
These seem to require changes to the server output to render correctly on desktop.
